MIRELES, PAUL ANDREW (1950 ~ 2009). The following is an obituary for District Judge Andrew "Andy" Mireles. The obituary was published on December 16, 2009 in the San Antonio Express News.

Honorable Judge Andy Mireles, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 with his beloved wife by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Eleanor Mireles; sister, Marie Christine Mireles and his brother, William Mireles.

Judge Mireles is survived by his wife, Margaret Mireles; sons: Jonathan Paul Mireles and Matthew Adam Mireles; brothers: Gene Mireles and wife, Estela of San Antonio; Bob Mireles and wife, Diane of Houston; and Larry Mireles of San Antonio; nieces: Gina Murray and husband, Brandon; Anjeannette Guzman, Alyssa Watson and husband, Mathew; Aimee Guzman-Jones and husband, Cliff; and Allegra Weaver and husband, Eric; nephews: Robert Mireles, Michael Mireles, Marc Guzman and wife, Alison; brothers-in-law: Tony Guzman and wife, Esther, Luis Guzman and wife, Phyllis; sister-in-law, Dr. Maria Guzman; and an extended loving family and many friends.

Visitation will be held at Porter Loring on McCullough on Sunday, December 20th from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel.

On Monday, December 21, 2009, a Celebrant Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. at San Fernando Cathedral, 115 Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX.
