ADAMS, LINDA CULLUM (1938 ~ 2015). The following is an obituary for Linda Adams, spouse of Senator Don Adams. The obituary was provided by Weed, Corley, Fish Funeral Home of Austin.

Linda Cullum Adams went to be with her Lord on October 6, 2015. Linda was married to Senator Don Adams for 52 years. They lived in Blue Lake, Llano County Texas. Linda was a very active volunteer until she was struck down with Alzheimer's. She was a children's advocate with Highland Lakes CASA in Kingsland, Texas and in Austin, also with Hill Country Children's Advocacy Center in Burnet, Texas. She was recognized as an outstanding CASA by the Travis County CASA organization.

Linda taught a three year old children's Sunday School Class while a member of Bannockburn Baptist Church and a women's Sunday School class when she was a member of the Baptist Church in Springwood. She was in the first class of Docents of the Governor's Mansion. She served as a Docent for 30 years. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Marble Falls at the time of her death.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Don; her sister Pat Knight of Amarillo; her son Don, Jr., his wife Julia and grandson, Thomas of Kingsland; her daughter Debra Adams Weaver, her husband Rick and granddaughter, Ashlyn of Kingsland; and her daughter, Dinah Street, and children, Hayden and Reagan Street.

Linda was a graduate of Texas Tech with honors and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She was a member of The House of Representatives Wives Club until her death. She was an active member of The Senate Wives Club until her death. Linda loved her Lord and her family.

Active Pallbearers will be: Bill Haley, Harold Piatt, Angelo Zottarelli, Al Richardson, Fred Hartman, and Karl Bayer. Honorary Pallbearers are: Babe & Marylin Schwartz, Mary Haley, Barb Sheriff, Sharon Marshall, Bill Hobby, Christine Nicknash, and Bob Winn.

A small graveside service will be held at the Texas State Cemetery officiated by The Reverend John Brantley of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Andrews in Marble Falls. The Reverend Jim Thomas, a nephew, and The Reverend John Brantley will officiate.
